It was a pleasant spring morning in Cumberland County.  Vincent would have been in detention  with his brother due to their little  prank on the principal. (involving two cartons of eggs, syrup and some feathers from a pillow....Mr. Vaulkner wasn't too happy.)  Lucas took full responsibility for it, though he made sure that Vincent owe him one. Vinnie didn't mind however.

"Brother's honor." The brunette would nod giving a boyscout-espue salute.

School had gotten out early so Vincent decided to spend the rest the day hanging out with his friends. He rounded the street corner  going down the street that passed by the cemetery.

Vincent looked at the place as he walked by it, wondering if any of those buried were examined by his adoptive mother. That's when he saw a familiar face.

It was Ian Holden.

Vincent was never a fan of Holden. He seemed mean, rude, a jerk to his idol claiming it was his job.

However something was different about the agent. He seem somber..sad really. He was standing over a small gravestone.

The brunette couldn't help himself..if he sees someone hurting he's gonna be there for them (if they want him to or not) After all, a doctor helps physical and mental wounds.

He snuck through the gate making his way slowly towards him.

Holden sighed looking at the two names on the stone. The names of his wife and daughter.

"If we have gotten there earlier...you and many others wouldn't have..-"

"Mr. Holden?"

Holden turned to see a familiar face.  Agent Navel's boy.

"Oh. It's you." He said wondering why of all people he'd be here.

"Shouldn't you be in school?" He asked hoping Vincent wouldn't bother him..not at this moment. Vincent and his brother Lucas has been a source of annoyance for the agent, always causing him grief.

"Nah we got out early." Vincent answered standing next to Holden.

"Your brother ain't with you?" Holden asked wondering if this was another prank.

"Nope." The boy shook his head. "He feathered up the principal, it was funny you should have seen his...getting off track.."  Vincent grinned sheepishly.

"What do you want?" He curtly asked. Vincent sweatdropped shifting his feet around feeling an annoyed gaze from him.

"Well..." Vincent looked him in the eye, chocolate brown meeting those shades he wore. " I wanted to see if you were okay."

Holden gave him an suspicious look, lowering his shades to meet eye to eye with the kid.

"What for?" He wasn't in the mood for jokes.

Vincent could sense he wasn't really happy at the moment.

"Well if I want to be a doctor I got to heal people right? You look like you could use some healing."

Holden stood there not sure what to say. This wasn't the same kid was it?

"...You're sad..its because you lost someone important to you?"

Holden turned away from the boy.

"You wouldn't know kid. Go home."

Vincent frowned but didn't give up.

"I do know." he said moving in front of Holden ensuring eye contact.

"Losing people you love...it hurts..alot."  His voice wavered trying not to cry...he had to stay strong.

"You can't suture a broken heart...its only through love and time that eventually...you can heal...I know you can Mr. Holden."  Vincent gazed at the two names on the headstone.

"I don't know what happened with your loved ones....but I'm sure they wouldn't want you to be hurting forever."

There was silence between the two for what seemed like forever. Holden was about to say something when the boy took him by surprise.

The boy hugged him.

Holden was speechless..he felt his eyes burning.

"...Thanks kid." He hugged back.

"Sorry me and Lucas gave you a hard time."

"Eh you're kids its your job."

Vincent giggled. "I won't call you Hoodin anymore promise."

Holden chuckled. "So you were doing it to annoy me."

"Kinda." Vincent grinned.

You have yourself a good kid Navel..take care of him.

"Well..." Holden hummed in an unsure tone.

"Ice cream? I'll buy." Vincent suggested

"Sounds great kid."
Wow didn't think I'd write again.. XD;;

Vincent and Holden settle their differences with something they have in common. This story was hanging around for a while but hey XD Got it uploaded yay. I might some more stuff idk.
